Founded in 1980, Kıvanç Group continues to operate in three divisions: Safety, Engineering and Mining.

In addition, AKATEK, a Kıvanç Group company, specializes in the production of technical yarns and fabrics for manufacturers of protective clothing designed to withstand heat and flames.

Our ring spinning mill is located in the Antalya Organized Industrial Zone and processes various fiber blends. The facility has a capacity of 10,800 spindles. With the commissioning of our Vortex spinning machine, our annual yarn production capacity has increased to 1,300 tons. The facility primarily manufactures flame-resistant technical yarns.

Using our 16 state-of-the-art weaving looms, we produce 2 million meters of technical fabric annually. These fabrics are used in firefighter suits and protective garments for search and rescue services and industrial applications.

We are proud to announce that the fabric used in the space suit of Alper Gezeravcı, Türkiye’s first astronaut, was manufactured by Akatek.

Safety Division – Protection Under Extreme Conditions

Within our Safety Division, we manufacture personal protective clothing designed to protect against a wide range of hazards, including heat and flames, electrostatic discharges, electrical arc flashes, molten metal, welding spatter and chainsaw-related injuries.

At our factory in Sinop, we manufacture firefighter suits, search and rescue clothing, and heat- and flame-resistant, antistatic protective garments. These products are designed for workers in refineries, petrochemical plants, pipeline installations and storage facilities.

Our product range also includes:

• Protective clothing for the iron and steel industry, designed to protect against splashes of molten metal.

• Arc-flash protective clothing for personnel working in electricity generation and high-voltage power transmission systems.

• Protective clothing for wildland firefighting.

• Chainsaw protective clothing.

• Pilot coveralls and tanker crew uniforms.

• Camouflage clothing for military and security forces.

In-House Testing Laboratories – Quality You Can Trust

Kıvanç Group established Türkiye’s first laboratory specifically dedicated to testing the heat resistance of personal protective clothing.

Following a second investment, a physical testing laboratory was also established. Here, raw materials and finished products are tested in accordance with applicable EN and ISO standards.

All necessary tests prior to CE certification are carried out to enhance product reliability and accelerate certification processes. The laboratory also supports our research and development (R&D) activities.

We test the performance of our products in our own heat laboratory. In addition, we work with accredited laboratories to ensure product type conformity under Module B and ongoing production conformity under Module C2 or Module D.

Thanks to the barcode system integrated into our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, which has been in use since 2009, we ensure full product traceability. Every stage of the production process can be monitored and verified.

Each garment manufactured by our company carries a work order number on its label. This enables us to trace essential production details, including the manufacturing date, the materials used, and the date, batch number and supplier of the raw materials.

This system allows us to monitor our production processes accurately and maintain the quality, consistency and reliability of our products.

Kıvanç Group is the first manufacturer of personal protective clothing in Türkiye to hold Product and Third-Party Liability Insurance.

This insurance provides coverage for damage that may arise from incidents involving users of our garments where material defects or manufacturing faults are responsible.
